Out of the box, you are required to put together a few pieces. The instructions were simple and the pieces fit together easily without any tools being necessary. This was the first good sign. It seemed well-built from the get-go.The suction is excellent and it is easy to switch between the floor and carpet settings without even having to turn it off. The unit is light but feels durable and the handle is adjustable so that you don't have to be bent over while using it. Also, it is very easy to remove the canister and clean it out.All in all, I am very satisfied with this product and it is probably the best consumer product I've bought since dumping my HP Copier for an Epson.
