I recently tested a Dirt Devil hand vac as part of the Amazon Vine Program and I absolutely loved it. I loved it so much, in fact, that I went with this somewhat more advanced hand vac as a gift for my son and daughter-in-law. They like this vac very much since it is perfect for picking up messes and picking up random patches of cat hair and it does charge quicker than my hand vac.Last week I kid sat at their home for a few days and found myself using this a lot. My grand daughter (age 6) apparently likes it too,.She kept using it as we cleaned house. It is a really convenient vac. It is the perfect size for a kid to handle and it is perfect for old broads, too. It charges quickly because the battery is not only energy star qualified, and it also has great suction. A tapered nozzle to get into tight spaces is mounted at the top with a convenient release mechanism. I use this to get into tight corners and by the risers on the stairs that are real dust collectors. This vac picks up small pieces of stuff and leaves rugs and hard floor surfaces spotless and handles dust on lamp shades, etc. and makes cleanup effortless.The filter does a good job of containg dust and strange mystery particles like dry cat food, cookie crumbs, crayon shards,etc. The filter shakes out with ease. To extend the life of filters, I usually use the hand tool on my full size vac to clean the filter.This is an awesome vac and it is a proven winner. My only advice is to clean the filter after each use to keep it running smoothly.
