Sure, it picks up some dirt, but it doesn't necessarily leave that "just vacuumed" pattern in our carpet (Roomba does). H. Erickson-Sander  |  2 reviewers made a similar statement
The LG seems to sense that it can go under a particular piece of furniture, and the edge will slide under, but then the middle of the unit gets caught. Shopaholic  |  1 reviewer made a similar statement
This is just a very bad design decision im my opinion. D_Strasse  |  1 reviewer made a similar statement

Having had no previous experience of robotic vacuum cleaners, I had nothing with which to compare it, and no way of knowing what to expect in terms of quality and funcionality. I was quite pleasantly surprised. It seems well constructed and quite robust. Considering that it is powered by a rechargeable battery, one cannot expect it to vacuum with anywhere near the suction power of a mains-powered cleaner, but still, it does a good job. It can't reach into corners because it is round, so it can't really be considered a substitute for a mains-powered vacuum, but it's great for keeping the general floor areas free of small debris and dust.It is not noisy at all, and moves around happily on its own, dealing with obstacles, wall prtotrusions, and transitions from tile to carpet, without any fuss. It finds its way around the home very well, and never misses a room. It also finds its way back to its charging station quite well, and it hasn't got itself lost yet.The dust canister is easy to take out and clean, and is of a reasonable size.I'm not convinced about the quality of the rotating side-brushes. Mine has already lost all the bristles on one of the tufts on the one brush, but the other brush still looks fine, so I suspect the damaged brush may have been defective to start with. The unit is, however, supplied with two spare side-brushes, and I would like to think a company like LG, would make sure that spares are readily available and not too expensive.Overall, I'm pleased with it, and it has a added bonus of being a source of entertainment for the cats.
