I just received this handy stick vacuum yesterday. I plugged the battery into the charger/hanger and let it sit for at least 16 hours like the manual said. I was pleasantly surprised when I turned it on this morning. We have a short berber carpet so I turned it on the carpet setting that spins the brush. It pulled standard staples out of the carpet and picked up small pieces of gravel and little bits of grass, etc. When I emptied it I was surprised at how much fine dust it picked up too. It seemed to have excellent suction up against the wall too. I did not run it until the battery ran down, I got finished before that. The battery is rated for 15 minutes, which is enough time to do the kind of vacuuming touch-up I bought this for. The battery charging base can either be attached to a wall or set on a counter. On the wall mount, the entire sweeper hangs on the unit and charges the battery. The overall construction seemed to be great for a 40.00 product. I was so impressed that I am online now buying another one for the office.
