Bought this machine after years of fine service from my old Shark because I liked the fact that the dump thing worked easier (and it is SO much easier). Also I was having a time finding replacement batteries for a reasonable price. What I did do and that's the reason for one star being subtracted is that the company continues to include an inadequate battery. NiCd batteries are a hold over from a time gone by. Who wants to wait till the thing doesn't work to recharge it. I bought a NiMh (no memory) battery that I can charge anytime I want. I figure that I paid an extra $25.00 for what works for me. One of the reviews mentioned the weak swivel connection for the handle so I'll be careful. This machine is much better.
