Mops is mops ... until you add steam. Steam makes the mop a cleaning machine. I saw my first demo of a steam mop at my sister's house and used on wood floors trod by 2 hyper dogs.In our home case, the floors are travertine. I shopped the big box stores, checked the reviews on Amazon and settled on the simplest, lightest one I could find. On travertine, this one is the bee's knees. Hot steam delivery occurs at the mop head. It works as advertised. It is instant dry after swiping the floor. It is exactly what we were looking for.
