I just bought this model today. It is a basic model -- no light, no attachments (no way to pull the hose out to add any). That said, it's not bad. I wanted something lightweight and easy to push around. Mostly I have hardwood floors and it cleaned up dust bunnies and loose dog hair just fine. The bedrooms are carpet and it seemed to get them pretty clean as well, but they don't get very dirty. This vacuum has a 5 amp motor, half the amps of my current (old) canister, but it does a better job on both hard floors and the carpet.The cons are 1) noise (it's fairly loud); 2) you would have no way to dust, clean furniture, or get the edges of the carpet with a crevice tool. I have my old canister so that is not a problem for me.
